On the Way Out

It’s late and I’m tired
It’s late and I’m connected by a thread
It’s late and I’m still here

I’m angry
I’m fighting invisible hands
Even when they want to help me
I know all hands will leave
The wheels are in motion
They’re on their way out

I’m angry
I don’t want this
I’m so angry
I don’t know why I’m here
But here, I am
Here, today I stayed
I stayed angry
But I stayed

They’re all on their way out
But I stayed
