I Want to Return It

It coaxes
Urges
Coos and sways and rocks me gently
Lulls
Pleads to be let out

Out
Out of me

Iron belongs to the earth
Stardust belongs to the void
It’s time for it all to go back

I have my assignment
I know what it calls for
I know where it belongs

This purple blood wants to be free
It’s tired
It’s weak
It just wants to sleep
It just wants to finally go home
Where it belongs It wants to go home
I want to take it home
I just want to finally go home
Where I belong
