There’s safety in the other’s words
Exchanges of hurts, relief, connection
Pitch currents surging on the floor of my personal blue
Congeal on their own time coaxed by the watchful gaze of the other
Crystalizing and forced to the surface in shards
Alkaline doom is choked through a tense throat to be
Gently collected in kind hands
I see them holding with care
Plainly gently directly warmly truthfully
There’s safety in their gaze
There’s safety in their kind hands
That are gently collecting
Words pulled forward now with greater ease than ever before
Stuttering but ever forward nonetheless
Sometimes we need an external force
A quietly steady external force
To remind us of what we can do against the inevitable
Hopeful that the next void undertow could be reduced so easily
With so much weight removed I jump just to see how high I can reach
Today I find myself a little more human than ever
