Starlight on puddles
I don’t want to fade away
Among these faint lights
White moon rising high
What does this subconscious mind
Need to tell this world
Hopeful morning light:
I bask in warm reflections
Friend’s kind compassion
For M., dear writing friend
Three footprints in snow
She listens intently for
Her teacher’s guidance
Sunrise over snow
I take this day as my own
Powerful and true
I squint against tears:
your heart under winter’s glare
has come back to me
Near starless midnight
Acceptance of wicked truths
Closer than morning
watching red sunsets
reflecting on the true end
wishing heaven real
Sun glaring on ice
Studying the ritual
…
Inspecting arrows
Seeking another success
…
Like dried hanging blooms
Kept fondly for far too long
…
