When I’m Healed 2

I’ve been doing my best
through this weakness
this deformity
you know and appreciate this
and you’ve been so good
so generous and patient
with these damaged goods
so accommodating
to appease and please me in my years of injury
as we’re both doing our best
and I’m grateful
but I’m frustrated
I’m tired
I want it all back
I want to move as I please again
and I’m sure you want it too

When this gap is closed
when everything’s put back in its place
when I can bend
and twist and stretch
and push and pull however I please

I will hold you down
and you will let me
because you’ll know what you’re in for
you will most definitely, very much,
know what you’re in for 

You’ll know
because you’ll remember
all the things my wordless body
told you these past three years
in the looking
the teasing
the light and the heavy
touches across your peaks and valleys
you’ll remember it all
and you’ll finally take your share
knowing you’ll feel the joy
from so many angles

Knowing what you’re in for
you’ll await your fate 

Smiling in the dark
like a dragonfly caught in my web
of anticipation, rocking gently
eager for your little death 

Smiling under the covers 
with that twinkle in your eye
you’ll await the ecstasy
you know is coming
at my eager hands
