Roof Under Orange Horizon

I expected rain, but it never came
Somehow, through that turbulent mix of
Fear, love and sadness
And dread for predicted loss
One still managed to calm a brewing storm
Into a slow rolling tide
Uneasy, still, but far less dangerous
Keeping the orange horizon in view
And a roof above my heart for another night
Still waiting for the rain
