In some things, we are always alone.

There are times we are alone, even when people like to say we’re not. Some things we have to do ourselves, so we kind of are alone. We can still connect with others along the way, but that doesn’t mean they are fighting with us.

There are times we are really alone in what we have to fight, solve, or manage.

We like to hear “You’re not alone in this.” “I’m here with you.” Others will often tell us that we are not alone, but we really are.

I have one friend who taught me this, with the greatest compassion. They told me that others like to tell us that we’re not alone, but in truth, there are things that we can only fight on a lonely battlefield.
